Logger head Turtle Facts

The Loggerhead Turtle's name comes from their characteristically large head which gives them the strong jaw muscles to crush and consume crustaceans and mollusks as part of their diet. They also eat seagrasses, sponges and jellyfish. Adults weigh 200 - 350 lbs and reach up to 3' in length. They are found in all tropical and subtropical oceans. Loggerhead Turtles are an endangered species.
